FAQs

Innovate your bathroom with our niches

What is Solid Surface and why is it a popular choice for niches?
Solid Surface is a composite material, consisting mainly of acrylic resins and natural minerals. It is characterised by its non-porous, smooth and even surface, which makes it very popular in the manufacture of washbasins and countertops. This material is highly valued for its durability, wear resistance and the ease with which it can be cleaned and maintained. In addition, it allows the creation of designs without visible joints, offering a modern and minimalist aesthetic that adapts to any style of bathroom decoration.

Solid Surface sinks offer several significant advantages over other materials. Their non-porous surface prevents bacteria build-up and facilitates cleaning, making these sinks a hygienic choice. They are extremely durable, resistant to stains, scratches and mild chemicals. Aesthetically, Solid Surface allows for seamless integration with various bathroom decors due to its ability to mimic textures such as stone and marble without the disadvantages of maintenance that these materials require. In addition, if scratched, the damage is usually repairable.

The installation of a Solid Surface niche in a shower is a relatively simple process, but requires precision to ensure watertightness and durability. First, the hole in the wall is delimited and opened, checking that the structure is adequate and that there are no pipes in the area. Once the space has been prepared, the niche is fixed using specific adhesives for Solid Surface, ensuring correct levelling and a firm seat. Subsequently, all joints are sealed with neutral silicone to prevent leaks and the perimeter is finished, either with tiling or an existing finish. Although the procedure is straightforward, professional installation guarantees optimum sealing and perfect integration with the bathroom cladding.
